I write poetry similarly to how Dumbledore in Harry Potter used the Pensieve to store, review, and analyze memories, (when memories got too crowded in his head) so he and other people can use the Pensieve and view the memories from a third-person perspective.

When I think about my writings, I always think about it in this way.

As someone who has been told all her life that her face/body expressions don’t match the words she is speaking/feeling (and because of that has had her feelings or words dictated for her) and one that has had trouble naming or talking about what she is feeling in the moment, writing poetry is one of the main ways I alleviate that consistent external need from me, as well as paint the internal complexity within.

Hope you like or relate to any of my poems! Plus if you really like, subscribe to my Substack that’s where I upload my new poetry and it is completely free to follow or subscribe!
